We have two lives

2:57:00 PM

We all think we are going to be great. And we feel a little bit robbed when our expectations aren't met. But sometimes our expectations sell us short. Sometimes the expected simply pales in comparison to the unexpected. You gotta wonder why we cling to our expectations. Because the expected is what keeps us steady...standing..still. The expected is just the beginning. The unexpected...is what changes our lives.

I left for Prague in search of some inner peace -as stupid as it may sound- after a rough year with lots of changes and hard situations in all kinds of fields. They say sometimes you just need to follow your instinct and that's definitely what I did. Feeling kinda drowned and overwhelmed I booked tickets to Prague and didn't want to share the experience with friends or family -as selfish as it sounds..- but more in a "I need this" way rather than "oh I'm just missing the city".

Expectations? Relax. Museums, books, nights at the apartment reading and blogging.
Reality? Much better. Except for the last day, oh the post-vacation blues and realizing you're coming back... So my advice to anyone who feels stressed and not coping with everything is to just book a flight and leave for some days. Go anywhere you want. Even if you are not going to travel around and feel like being at home/hotel doing whatever, or if you want to meet people from other completely different cultures. I came back feeling great and ready to continue with all the stressing life but facing it differently. Some things I got over, that's just wonderful. Others I just faced them and voilà, came back with a deal of motivation :)

They say we do have two lives... The 2nd one is when you realize you've got one.
