Ideas for Easter family lunches

3:59:00 PM

Easter is here and many of us have some family lunches we cannot skip, and both the occasion and the weather can make it hard sometimes to choose the right clothes. When visiting family we try to spend some time fixing an outfit  (compared to regular weekend lunch with the parents -I honestly go homeless on those occasions sometimes).

So far I had two family meetings and there are still two more to come, plus tonight's dinner with my ladies (already thought of the outfit I'm going to wear huhuhuu), and I went for a LBD but spiced it up with some pink details here and there.

This  upcoming summer is going to be all about turbans, headbands and hats so prepare your eyes and mind to say "i don't need them" after you already purchase a pair (guilty). I am giving you some outfit suggestions which I created so you can get am idea if you are still wondering what to wear tomorrow.

1. LBD with colorful details: Flared dresses are great for this time of the year and you can never go wrong with a black one of course. If you think this looks too funeral, try making a statement with the accessories, such as a colorful headband, shoes or going for sassy makeup.

2. Skirt and blouse in innocent pastel colors: one of this year's trends are big sleeves and blouses so one combination for a lunch is pairing a blouse with a soft colored midi skirt. I went for a pleaded one since it gives a spring/summer feeling and combined pastel pinks and blue.

3. Jeans and florals:  If you are not a fan of skirts or dresses sure there are ways to style a pair of jeans. Boyfriend and ripped jeans are a good idea if you want to go for a casual look but also want some lady-like details, so I paired them up with a black blouse by Victoria Beckham, which gives the outfit a summer and lady look.

I added the links for every item in case you loved any of them and want to get exactly that one, but most are designer items so their prices are quite high compared to others. For those who loved the outfit but want to go for more affordable prices I chose easy items to find around regular stores.

I got my dress some time ago in Mango, and this is an outfit saver though I have to be careful on a windy day, plus the skirt is transparent and there's an inside skirt covering bottom and upper legs but still-gotta be careful! The sleeveless part is great and it can be accessorized easily with belts, jewelry or whatever you want to add. I added a colorful floral turban/headband (Zara 2017) and camel suede wedges, with pink makeup (CND "Gotcha" nailpolish and Chanel's coco roughe in #Montecarlo).

LBD are great because you can always add any accessory you like and the attention will always go to all items but the dress will play its role perfectly. I went quite simple with pinks and greens and a neutral makeup look but on a night event I'd go bolder on the makeup and bling bling jewelry probably. Now I just have to work on my tan or else I'll look like a Cullen!
