Thrown in with the lions? make them purr.

After a great weekend around Barcelona, it's time for our girly chit chat on whatsapp groups as Sunday evening is calling in and we don't want to face reality (read Monday). Now, it seems to me there is a common thread regarding guys... On Friday my friend was telling me about a guy she met many years ago who keeps sending her messages to talk (with other purposes of course) and he just doesn't give up on her although she made clear she has a boyfriend and does not even answer his texts.

Tonight in our Whatsapp group we were just talking about how certain guys do not give up and continue with their game but up to a point it even looks threatening. Don't get me wrong, we are not shallow divas talking sh* about them and laughing at them whatsoever, but we are in a moment in which we are OK with our lives the way they are and do not want anything less or anything more. This week i faced two "propositions" which i didn't know how to take, since the tone was rather serious and a bit attacking tbh. When telling my ladies about this, one told us she faced something similar. To that we say, why? Where did the gentlemen manners go? Or understanding and leaving space?

After this conversations with them I couldn't help but wonder why some people take it so aggressively when it comes to share their intentions/feelings, and why some of us do not even give a chance to other guys. That my ladies, is easy to imagine. And the word is caution. Or too many lessons learnt. Since guys in their 20-30s act like kids who end up spoiling/breaking table games and toys when they get bored or want something newer and better (and blame it on the way we were raised up, with all that fairytales of finding a prince or wealthy men while looking skinny and cooking), today lies, cheating and many disappointments are a thing instead of a scandal. So the lack of maturity in men leads to women's disappointment and numerous heartbreaks. Result? Either women start acting like men or they put on the "stay cool b*tch" attitude, which makes men go around salivating over your stilettos but you get to decide whether to give them a chance. And even if you would, many stay "true" to those rejecting values only out of fear (pss, guilty). Truth is i am great now and do not want to play the game for a while, so everytime i meet someone i really find it hard to believe his words. Blame it on some ex-cessory from last year...but i do not look at men thinking uu so interesting -rather "he's just another J". I know it's been a (big) while, but isn't it great to have your mind with no guy-related trouble?

Did my biggest J (standing for Jerk and his name -oh coincidences) break me?
