No more drama Adrianna?

7:33:00 PM

You know that saying, "don't put all your eggs in the same basket". Well, THAT lesson, I never learn.

My brother once told me I am stress itself. Even when everything is OK in my life it seems I subconsciously look for some details that can get me going worried. Is that what keeps me going? Something to get my mind busy.

What is it with us ladies who make a big deal out of a tiny issue? My friends also say I am the drama queen of the group –though they enjoy the show sometimes. Let me tell you, after a crisis I usually let it go step by step and we all have a laugh (not always though). This time, let’s say I chose to ignore the red flags and went for the clearly wrong guy (again? Is it me or are they all the same?). After a great date I was on cloud nine for the whole following day, believing we would see each other again soon (since he asked twice already), but then reality check, I saw some things which were.. a taste of bitterness to my sweet dreams from last night.

Overwhelmed with thoughts I instantly told two of my friends, who told me to let go and “on to someone else”, apart from “I told you so”. Not only that, I felt a bit blue and lost appetite (me? How could I!!). wth?

The next morning, despite talking to him, my attitude was kinda different and I realized how much I may enjoy the drama, because even I thought “ou boy I warned myself and I don’t really care that much, do i?”. Let’s cross fingers and hope this drama is temporary and goes on and off in a matter of hours…

Today the mess went on and shame on him for lingering it all and shame on me for even reading what he has to say and having a 1 % of me willing to believe his words when saying "let's meet after work". However I didn't rush work or anything and I lost excitement to see him and instead focused on those articles that needed to get published... I checked for some flights for a quick getaway.. joined the gym and went shopping. I didn't look at the phone or clock and when I got home I saw his message saying he was working late and asking for a rain check. Did I go high drama? Not this time. However, don't we enjoy a little bit of that Disney attitude when the princess just collapses into bed like it's the end of the world? Ouu yes so I gave him a piece of my mind and turned on the laptop to rage out on this blog, voilà.

What could you expect from someone who LOVED Beverly Hills, Gossip Girl and Dynasty?
These pictures were taken in a park near my apartment in Barcelona, a small park but which has something special. The trees are the stars of the shooting of course. Here I am wearing a total black outfit, Zara leather pants and hat and round sunglasses by Miu Miu, but what I like the most in this outfit is the zipped black blouse by Polish designer Yuliya Babich and these designer handmade earrings by Bita Pourtavoosi which I purchased on Trendcy -a fashion hub supporting independent designers.

  3. You've gotta live and learn. If it doesn't get you excited, then maybe it isn't meant to be. Just let it play out.

  4. Sometimes you have to "live and learn". At least you turned what may have been "a drama overload" into a wonderful post. Love the outfit, glad to see I'm not the only one who enjoys rocking all black.

  12. I am like the not putting all my eggs in one basket person. But that comes with its own set of problems. It's not the panacea you would think it was. It just makes it so I have a hard time being satisfied with what I have in front of me, because I'm always afraid it's going to go away.
